GUESTS are EVERYTHING to your business.  Without them, we cease to exist. There are on average 20 salons or more that a guest will drive past on their way to see YOU!!  We can’t afford to take that for granted. We would be CRAZY to think that our guests are a sure thing! 

You need to make sure you CONNECT.  SMILE, say Hello, make the guest feel comfortable.  Nothing can compare with a genuine welome, “Im so glad to see you”  From the second that YOUR guest walks through that door, you are on stage- they are your audience- it is all about them!  

We would like you to try this with each of your guests for 21 days- make it a ritual. 

First, Set the stage, make sure your work area is clean and look the part, yes you need to have your hair done and makeup flawless.  Peeps are coming to you for your professional advice, no-one wants to go to a sloppy hairdresser.   Secondly, make it personal!  Prepare for your guests BEFORE they come in- take notes, hop on Pinterest, find inspiration for your guest- and then tell them about it!  Let them know that you have been thinking about them.  Maybe you have an idea for a change for them.  Its not whether they take you up on it, more so its that you thought of it.  The number one reason that a guest leaves a stylist is that they are not offered a change.  Picture this- YOU sit in your stylists chair, and they show you a picture that they find so fitting  for YOU!  Wouldn’t you just feel like a million 
bucks? 
Thirdly, add value!  Make sure you go above and beyond what is expected.  Offer a Stress Relieving Treatment before you shampoo, a hand and arm massage with your colors and never let them leave without a makeup touchup!  Lastly, don’t forget the “obvi”- THANK them.  Show your guest a level of gratitude -be prepared!   THEY WILL ADORE YOU!  Want a real WOW factor-send a hand written thank-you note.  That will simply knock anyones socks off!  
Commit to adding these to each guest experience, and We guarantee you can’t help but FLIPPIN’ FLOURISH!!

Festive holiday makeup

Does your salon offer airbrush makeup? We just introduced it to our list of services and have been loving it! The makeup goes on beautifully and there are so many beautiful colors and highlighters to play with. It has been a great addition to our salon services. Stay healthy during cold season!

Cold and flu season is here! Working closely with so many people, it can be a challenge to avoid getting sick this time of year. Below are a few tips to help you stay healthy this winter. Keeping healthy is so important because, if we are not behind the chair, we are not making money! Wash your hands...often! Doing shampoos makes this one pretty easy, but remember to wash your hands throughout the day as well. Clean your station at the beginning and end of your shift. Wipe down the chair and tools you used that day. Don't touch your face. This helps with skincare too of course! Eat healthy. Feed your body the vitamins it needs for a healthy immune system. Get plenty of sleep. Sleep deprivation can weaken the immune system. Relax. Do more of what helps you stress-less.
